Risk Management Awareness Training at the University of Mataram: Strengthening Capacity to Face Challenges
Mataram, University of Mataram – University of Mataram (Unram) successfully held Risk Management Awareness Training in the University environment on Wednesday (7/8) at Prime Park Hotel. The event aimed to improve understanding and skills in the identification and management of risks in the university environment.
Ratih Hapsari Kusuma Wardani, S.Si., M.A,. M.T as Head of the Regional Office of the Directorate General of Treasury (DJPB) of NTB Province as well as the Unram Board of Trustees in his speech explained that the performance contract as one of the risk mitigations that is sustainable and must be taken seriously.
“One of the risk mitigations that we mitigate is the performance contract that we do every month because this is sustainable and must be taken seriously. Hopefully what we provide can benefit all of you,” she explained.
Vice Rector for General Affairs and Finance (WR II) Prof. Dr. Sukardi, M.Pd. when he opened the event also appealed that the participants should participate in the training activities until the end.
“Ladies and gentlemen, please follow the training activities carefully until the end, which is certain that all leaders including the Rector will participate in this activity. Because risk management awareness in higher education is also very important,” he said.
The Rector of Unram, Prof. Ir. Bambang Hari Kusumo, M.Agr.St., Ph.D. also delivered a briefing regarding the importance of understanding in facing risks.
“In conducting our functions at the university we must be able to manage risks properly, because if we cannot face risks then Unram cannot become PTN-BH. This training is very important to strengthen our capacity in facing various challenges and risks that may arise. With a better understanding of risk management, we are expected to be more prepared and proactive in maintaining the sustainability and success of the institution,” he said.
The training, which was held at Prime Park Hotel, presented distinguished speakers Dr. L.M. Syahril Majdi, Bayu Heri Wicaksono and Ana Sariasih with material successively on risk management awareness and risk management implementation in higher education, followed by risk management process material and closed with material exposure related to risk management in DJPb.
The training participants seemed enthusiastic about participating in various interactive sessions during the activity. This training is expected to provide new insights and practical skills that are useful to be applied in daily duties.
