Scientific Synergy: Collaboration on Journal Management between LPPM Unram and the Directorate General of Water Resources of the Ministry of PUPR
Mataram, University of Mataram – On Thursday, February 29, 2024 the Institute for Research and Community Service of the University of Mataram (LPPM Unram) received a visit from the Directorate General of Water Resources of the Ministry of Public Works and Housing (PUPR) related to Journal Management Cooperation which took place in the Main Conference Room of LPPM Unram.
In this activity, Nur Rofik, A.Md. and Dwi Yunita, representatives of the Directorate General of Water Resources of the Ministry of PUPR were accompanied by the Head of the LPPM Unram Research Center, Prof. Ir. Buan Anshari, S.T., M.Sc. (Eng), Ph.D. and 20 representatives of journal managers in Unram.
Starting off this activity, Prof. Ir. Buan Anshari, S.T., M.Sc. (Eng), Ph.D said, “This gathering is certainly the first step in establishing cooperation in journal management and of course this opens up opportunities for Unram lecturers / researchers to be able to contribute both as authors, reviewers and editors.”
Scientific journals have great benefits for universities. By disseminating knowledge, validating research results, improving institutional reputation, and supporting collaboration, scientific journals become an important pillar in the development of the academic and research atmosphere in higher education.
On the same occasion, Nur Rofik, A.Md. revealed, “Currently we manage the Journal of Water Resources. This journal is published twice a year, in May and November and has been accredited SINTA 3. While the Hydraulic Engineering Journal has been accredited SINTA 2, first established in 2010, is a direct successor to the Pusair Bulletin. The journal is published with issues released in June and December every year.”
He also added that scientific journals published by the Directorate General of Water Resources of the Ministry of PUPR can be used as a means of exchanging science and information related to the PUPR field.
“This journal is expected to foster creativity and exchange of ideas among functional officials, structural officials, both in the Ministry of PUPR and ministries / institutions / agencies, especially academics, both from private and public institutions in Indonesia in this opportunity the University of Mataram through LPPM,” added Nur Rofik, A.Md.
The journal management collaboration that exists between LPPM Unram and the Directorate General of Water Resources of the Ministry of PUPR is expected to lead to an improvement in the quality of the infrastructure of the Ministry of PUPR for the progress of our beloved country, or become an inspiration for readers to play an active role in the development of science and technology, especially in the field of PUPR.
This activity is one of LPPM Unram’s commitments in establishing national and international cooperation in improving the quality of journal management as a source of reference and contributing to the development of science in certain fields of science.
