Socialisation of BRIN Talent Management Program and LPDP Doctoral Scholarship: Golden Opportunities for National Innovation Talents at Unram
Mataram, University of Mataram – The National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) in collaboration with the University of Mataram (Unram) held a socialisation of the BRIN Talent Management Program and the LPDP National Research and Innovation Talent Doctoral Scholarship Program, as well as Scientific Writing Training, on Tuesday, 29 October 2024. This activity was held in the Unram Senate Conference Room and attended by lecturers and students from various faculties on campus.
With the theme “BRIN Research Talent Program & Doctoral Scholarship: Golden Opportunities for National Innovators”, this event is expected to attract research talents within Unram who have the potential to continue their education to the doctoral level and strengthen their abilities in the field of national research and innovation.
In his remarks, Unram’s Vice Rector for Student and Alumni Affairs, Dr. Sujita, S.T., M.T., invited students to take advantage of this opportunity from the BRIN program. “This opportunity is very useful for students who want to develop their research potential, and we need to make the best use of this program for the future,” he said.
Siti Miati, S.E., M.Pd., a representative of BRIN’s Science and Technology HR Deputy, also emphasised the importance of developing excellent human resources through BRIN’s strategic programs. “BRIN’s Talent Management Program and Doctoral Scholarships for national research and innovation talents are strategic steps to support the development of superior research human resources. We hope that outstanding students can continue their studies to the doctoral level to strengthen national research and innovation capacity,” said Siti.
In addition, Siti also highlighted the importance of writing scientific papers for students to publish their research results. “The ability to write scientific papers is very important for students to publish research results and contribute to science. We hope this activity can motivate students to continue to hone their skills, utilise the opportunities that are available, and contribute to the progress of the nation,” she added.
The socialisation session was hosted by two speakers, Bakhtiardi Putra Siswinanda and Toto Hadiarto, who explained the details of the doctoral scholarship program and its selection process. On the other hand, the scientific paper writing training provided practical insights to the participants on techniques in producing quality scientific papers.
With this socialisation, it is hoped that Unram students can be inspired to achieve higher accomplishments and take an active part in advancing innovation in Indonesia.
