Socialization of Mandiri Assessment Results and PIEPTN Priorities: Unram Collaborates with KPK RI

Mataram, University of Mataram – In connection with the formation of the Higher Education Ecosystem Integrity Strengthening Team (PIEPTN), University of Mataram (Unram) held a meeting on the Socialization of Mandiri Assessment Results and Determination of PIEPTN Priority Areas in the Unram Environment as well as Discussion and Assistance in Preparing PIEPTN Action Plans with the Indonesian Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK RI) Team offline at the Rector’s Conference Room and online via Zoom meeting on Thursday (4/7).

 

Unram as one of the higher education institutions committed to preventing corruption warmly welcomed the presence of the KPK Team and the enthusiasm of all participants who attended the event.

 

The Head of PIEPTN, Abdullah Zainuddin, S.T., M.T. in his speech explained Unram’s commitment to control gratuities in the academic community.

 

“This activity is expected to strengthen the existing integrity zone at Unram, we already have a team at Unram working on the integrity zone in 9 faculties, later we can collaborate to strengthen each other so that in accordance with the KPK’s expectations, good integrity is built in the university ecosystem so that it will refract to the outside of the university and the students will also have integrity,” he said as a representative of the Unram academic community.

 

This activity also provides a platform for participants to exchange experiences and best practices in preventing and controlling practices that harm academic integrity. This activity not only educates, but also encourages active participation in maintaining integrity and transparency in every aspect of campus life.

 

The KPK team appreciated Unram’s commitment in preventing gratuities in the campus environment and hoped that the potential for corruption could continue to be prevented, “We appreciate Unram’s commitment so far it can still run well, in essence the KPK wants to assist state universities so that we can mitigate and prevent the potential for corruption in higher education.”

 

This activity is expected to be a stepping stone for concrete steps in developing an academic culture free from corrupt practices in the future.

 

The collaboration and synergy between Unram and KPK is expected to be an example for other educational institutions to adopt best practices in integrity management and gratification control in Indonesia’s higher education.
