Sparkling Night of PMM 4 Nusa Tenggara-Nusantara Cultural Festival and Awarding Night of Unram 2024 National Competition
Mataram, University of Mataram – University of Mataram (Unram) held a grand event entitled PMM 4 Nusa Tenggara-Nusantara Cultural Festival and Awarding Night of Unram 2024 National Competition on Saturday, June 15, 2024. The event, which was held at Loang Baloq Tourism Park, was lively with the presence of 371 inbound students from 143 universities from various regions in Indonesia.
The PMM 4 Nusa Tenggara-Nusantara Cultural Festival, which carries the slogan of uniting togetherness in diversity, is part of Unram’s commitment to preserve and promote the richness of Nusa Tenggara culture. Various cultural performances ranging from the Nusa Tenggara series greeted presenting traditional dances typical of Bima, music, to special performances from PMM 4 students in the archipelago exploration segment including the performance of North Sumatra Batak ethnic compilation dance, Sulawesi dance, Minang dance. There was also a segment celebrating Indonesia with a medley dance performance of the archipelago and closed with a flashmob jingle of the students of Pancasila. This event is not only a place for entertainment, but also education for the community about cultural diversity in the Nusa Tenggara-Nusantara region.
Rector of Unram, Prof. Ir. Bambang Hari Kusumo, M.Agr.St., Ph.D. in his speech said that this activity will be regularly held every year.
“This activity is an annual activity that we will continue to hold with various competitions in the fields of art, culture, academics and sports,” concluded Prof. Bambang.
The Rector of Unram hopes that PMM 4 inbound students will have a pleasant experience and be accompanied by a high interest in learning while at Unram.
“On behalf of the Unram academic community would like to thank you for giving color to our campus, contributing your cultural diversity to Unram. Congratulations on returning to your respective places with good memories from Unram, “said Prof. Bambang.
Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Prof. Dr. Sitti Hilyana, M.Si. in her speech said that Unram was one of the universities with the most PMM applicants among other universities.
” There are more than 9000 Unram inbound enrollment students, making Unram one of the universities with the most PMM enthusiasts in Indonesia. NTB is also a Top 10 Destination in the World and becomes 5 priority areas so that Unram has its own charm, “said Prof. Nana.
The coordinator of Unram’s PMM college, Aurelius Rofinus Lolong Teluma, S.S., M.A. in his report said that this festival was a bigger celebration than previous years.
“This year we want to celebrate bigger and more vibrant the unity and diversity that we have,” said Aurel.
On the same occasion, the head of the PMM 4 Unram Inbound tribe, M. Syahputra, when delivering his impressions while participating in PMM 4 Inbound Unram admitted that this was an unforgettable experience.
“I personally feel very happy to be at Unram. This is a memory that we cannot forget for 4 months of living in Lombok because there are so many activities designed for us during our time here,” he concluded.
The cultural festival was coupled with the Awarding Night of the Unram 2024 National Competition. The competition, which took place on June 2-4, involved hundreds of participants from all over Indonesia including Unram’s PMM 4 inbound students.
In the awarding night, various categories of winners were announced starting from the field of cultural arts, academic fields and sports fields.
The PMM 4 Nusa Tenggara-Nusantara Cultural Festival and Awarding Night of the Unram 2024 National Competition not only succeeded in presenting interesting entertainment, but also inspired and motivated the younger generation to continue to excel and embrace the nation’s culture.
