Students of Campus Teaching Batch 7 Launch Innovative Learning Programs at SDN 37 Cakranegara
Mataram, University of Mataram – University of Mataram (Unram) students through the Campus Teaching (Kampus Mengajar) Batch 7 program launched innovative learning programs at SDN 37 Cakranegara. This initiative was led by Arman Maulana, with team members Gita Qurataini, Asty Murniati, Mutiatun Sholeha, and Hera Sukmawati.
The main purpose of this innovative learning program is to improve the quality of education and empower students as a whole, with a focus on academic development, creativity, and environmental awareness. And this program has been running from February 26 – June 16, 2024.
These innovative learning programs consist of the Numeracy Literacy Clinic, which provides intensive guidance in literacy and numeracy; SAPALITA (Saturday Morning Literacy), which offers literacy activities every Saturday morning; and Mejiku (Mathematics My Soul), which makes mathematics learning more attractive.
Further programs are Literacy Tree, to expand access to reading books; School Wall Magazine, which engages students’ creativity in making wall magazines; Laptop si Unyil, a program that provides access to computer devices; Eco-brick, to promote recycling; Art Class, to explore students’ artistic talents, and English Class, which provides interactive English learning for students.
Further, the Living Pharmacy, which teaches the benefits of medicinal plants; Socialization of the 3 Great Sins of Education, which educates about the challenges of education; and Library Administration, to train students’ skills in library management.
The 12 innovative programs launched by students of Unram have made a significant change. The support of Unram students through the Campus Teaching program shows dedication in creating an innovative educational environment, supporting the holistic development of students, and providing a broad positive impact on the entire school community.
Arman Maulana, group leader of Campus Teaching Batch 7 at SDN 37 Cakranegara, revealed that the Campus Teaching program is an excellent platform to gain hands-on experience in schools as a prospective educator.
“I gained a lot of new knowledge from time management, patience, relationships between teachers and students, and other extraordinary experiences that I could not get in the classroom itself. By joining this program, you will never regret it. I will always remember this experience. So, come on folks, don’t forget to join the Campus Teaching Program and take part in advancing education,” Arman concluded.
