The Professor of the Faculty of Agriculture further emphasized, “Internal Quality Audit (AMI) needs to be carried out in order to know the developments that have been achieved and those that have not been achieved. AMI implementation is carried out by conducting quality audits as a follow-up to the establishment and implementation of quality standards that have previously been socialized”.
On the same occasion, Prof. Dr. Arifuddin, M.Pd. as the Coordinator of the Internal Quality Assurance System (SPMI) said that, “Internal Quality Audit is conducted to determine the level of conformity of the implementation of activities to the organization’s own internal standards (Internal quality standards), regulations, procedures, work instructions, in order to improve institutional quality and reduce the risk of non-achievement of standards / quality reduction, especially in the field of Research and Community Service “.
Furthermore, Dr. Sitti Latifah, S. Hut., M.Sc.F. as the Coordinator of the Accreditation / Certification External Quality Assurance System conveyed, “The audit is carried out to determine the level of conformity to external standards. It is hoped that with this activity, it can fulfill and reduce standards that still have discrepancies into conformity”.
SPME and SPMI are carried out based on the same SPT and/or exceed the National Education Standards (SNP). Each university has the flexibility to regulate the fulfillment of SN Dikti in developing SPT. SPMI implementation follows the PPEPP rules, namely Determination, Implementation, Evaluation, Control, and Development of established standards. At the E – Evaluation stage, it can be done through an Internal Quality Audit.
Internal Quality Audit as a systematic, independent, and documented process to obtain audit evidence and evaluate it objectively to determine the extent to which audit criteria have been met, or a systematic, independent, and documented testing process to ensure the implementation of activities in HEIs according to procedures and the results are in accordance with standards to achieve institutional goals.
This Internal Quality Audit activity is not an assessment or assessment, but rather matching conformity (alignment) between implementation and planning of an activity/program.
