Mataram, University of Mataram – The University of Mataram (Unram) graduation ceremony for the December period graduated a total of 1006 students. The graduation ceremony was held on Monday, December 9, 2024 at the M. Yusuf Abu Bakar Auditorium Building.

The graduates this time consisted of 2 graduates of the Doctoral program, 61 people of the Masters program, 11 people of the Profession program, 926 people of the Bachelor program, and 6 people of the Diploma program.

Rector of Unram, Prof. Ir. Bambang Hari Kusumo, M.Agr.St., Ph.D. in his speech congratulated the graduates and their families.

“On behalf of the academic community of the University of Mataram, I congratulate the graduates and also to the extended family. Congratulations to both parents for the success of your sons / daughters in pursuing education at the University of Mataram, “he said.

Among the graduates of the Master’s program, 11 of them are international students from China.

“One of the things that certainly makes us all proud, we also graduated 11 students from China who were present in this place,” added Prof. Bambang.

In addition, the Rector of Unram also conveyed the achievements that have been achieved by Unram, “Recently it has been released by QS World University Ranking version 2024 that Unram managed to rank 19th best PTN in Indonesia.”

Interestingly, only 3 universities in Eastern Indonesia are included in the 19 best state universities in Indonesia, Hasanuddin University, Udayana University, and University of Mataram. And for the BLU PTN category there are only 2 best universities in the Eastern Indonesia region, Udayana University and University of Mataram.

“Unram has also succeeded in increasing the number of professors. At the end of 2021 the number of Unram professors was 62 people. In 2022, a surge in the number of professors to 88 people, and continued to increase to 110 people in 2024, “said Prof. Bambang.

Unram is currently increasing the number of international students by opening international classes.

“In 2022 the number of foreign students who came to study at the University of Mataram was 57 people, and increased to 143 people in 2023. And in this current semester, the number of our international students is 275 people who come from South Korea, the Netherlands, Germany, China, Egypt, Malaysia, France, Myanmar, Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, Japan, the Philippines, Palestine, Timor Leste and Bangladesh,” said the 10th Rector of Unram.

This graduation is a clear proof of Unram’s commitment in producing superior generations who are ready to contribute at the national and international levels. An atmosphere of emotion and pride colored the graduation ceremony, not only for the graduates but also for their families and the entire Unram academic community.

With increasing achievements, Unram proves its position as one of the best universities in Eastern Indonesia, bringing new hope to the world of education and the global community.
