Mataram, University of Mataram – The Rector of University of Mataram (Unram), Prof. Ir. Bambang Hari Kusumo, M.Agr.St., Ph.D. inaugurated 4 Professors of Unram. The four professors were namely Prof. Dr. Djumardin, S.H., M.Hum.; Prof. Jauhar Fajrin, S.T., M.Sc.(Eng.), Ph.D.; Prof. Dr. Ir.  Tajidan, M.S.; and Prof. Dr. Ir. Wahyu Astiko, M.P. The Ceremony took place in the Senate Meeting Room, Unram Rectorate on Tuesday (25/7).

Prof. Dr. Djumardin, S.H., M.Hum. was inaugurated as a Professor of the Faculty of Law in the Field of Civil Law, entitled “Cooperation Agreement for Processing Seawater into Fresh Water Ready to Drink Through the Desalination Process (Sea Water Reverse Osmosis / SWRO)”.

Furthermore, Prof. Jauhar Fajrin, S.T., M.Sc.(Eng.), Ph.D. was inaugurated as a Professor of the Faculty of Engineering in the Field of Civil Engineering, entitled “Opportunities and Challenges of Natural Fiber Composite Applications in Civil Engineering.

Meanwhile, Prof. Dr. Ir. Tajidan, M.S. was inaugurated as a Professor of the Faculty of Agriculture in the Field of Agricultural Socioeconomic Sciences, entitled “Transformation of Households into Traders Towards Prosperous Families”.

And Prof. Dr. Ir. Wahyu Astiko, M.P. was inaugurated as a Professor of the Faculty of Agriculture in the Field of Agricultural Cultivation Science, entitled “Bioamelioran Engineering Technology to Increase Corn and Soybean Production Climate Bending in Dry Land”.

In his speech, Unram Rector, Prof. Bambang expressed his congratulations and appreciation to the four inaugurated professors and their families.

“Of course, all of us, the academic community and the current audience congratulate the four professors who were inaugurated today. These people certainly greatly contribute to the development of the progress of Mataram University, “said Unram Rector.

Prof. Bambang also explained that the increase in the number of Unram Professors has continued to increase since the last 6 years.

“From 2016 to 2021 there was an increase of 9 professors. With data in 2016 the number of our professors is 53, in 2021 the number is 62. However, the last 2 years have seen a tremendous surge. The number has increased very rapidly from 62 to 88 professors,” he explained.

The Professor of Faculty of Agriculture Unram also explained some of Unram’s achievements, in which there are roles of Professors in it. In the future, Unram Rector hopes that Unram professors will continue to grow and continue to contribute and benefit institutions, nations, and countries.

Furthermore, the inauguration ceremony was marked by the acceptance of the speech manuscripts of the Professors and the handing of the Professor Gordon by the Unram Rector accompanied by the Chairman of the Unram Senate, and continued with the measurement of the Professor by the Unram Rector. The sacred event ended with congratulatory remarks from the audiences.
