The Rector of University of Mataram Inaugurates New Building of the Faculty of Medicine
Mataram, University of Mataram – The Rector of University of Mataram (Unram) Prof. Ir. Bambang Hari Kusumo, M.Agr.St, Ph.D inaugurated the new building of the Faculty of Medicine (FK) Unram, Monday (23/10) located on Pemuda Street, Gomong.
The inauguration was marked by the signing of an inscription and ribbon cutting by the Rector of Unram, Prof. Ir. Bambang Hari Kusumo, M.Agr.St., Ph.D.
The Rector of Unram in his speech said that the construction of the FK Unram’s new building was intended to improve facilities and educational capacity in the field of medicine at Unram. This new building is equipped with modern facilities and adequate learning spaces, so that students of FK Unram can get a better and adequate learning experience in accordance with the development of medical science.
“This is the grandest building in the University of Mataram, there are already modern facilities in it. So we can say this is suitable, a superior Medical Study Program with a building like this is suitable to be said to be superior,” said Prof. Bambang.
In addition, the new building is also designed to meet safety and comfort standards for all users, including students, lecturers, and administrative staff. This is in line with Unram’s commitment to providing a conducive and quality learning environment.
“If anyone asks where the funds we received from the three new students admissions programs go, this is what it looks like, this building. There are also plans to build two corridors connecting the north and south campuses, separate swimming pools for men and women, and many more campus facility developments that are being planned. The collected funds must be used properly for the advancement of the University of Mataram,” he explained.
The 10th Rector of Unram also added that this new building will be the center of academic and research activities in the field of medicine. With adequate facilities, it is hoped that FK Unram can continue to produce quality graduates and contribute to health services in the community.
The construction of FK Unram’s new building is clear evidence of Unram’s commitment in improving the quality of education and teaching in the field of medicine. In addition, the development of adequate educational infrastructure is also an important factor in attracting prospective students to join and contribute to developing medical science at the University.
“Hopefully with this togetherness we can advance the University of Mataram so that it can be equal to advanced universities in Indonesia and internationally competitive. Hopefully the construction of this building can produce many benefits for the community,” concluded the Rector of Unram.
