Three Unram Students Achieve Outstanding Achievements in Puteri Mandalika 2025

Mataram, University of Mataram – University of Mataram (Unram) students once again made brilliant achievements in the Puteri Mandalika 2025 which took place on Saturday, February 15, 2025. Three Unram students won the title in this prestigious competition, and showed their skills in tourism and culture, and succeeded in becoming ambassadors of tourism and culture of West Nusa Tenggara (NTB).

The three students who successfully won in the competition are:

  1. Baiq Uswatun Hasanah, Management Study Program, Faculty of Economics and Business, crowned as Puteri Mandalika NTB 2025.

  2. Mayang Nurmalia, Civil Engineering Study Program, Faculty of Engineering, crowned as Runner up Puteri Mandalika NTB 2025.

  3. Siti Amanda Oktaviani, Sociology Study Program, Faculty of Law, Social and Political Sciences, was crowned as Putri Mandalika Tourism NTB 2025.

In the event held at Car Free Night Praya, these three Unram students managed to highlight their quality in various stages of selection, ranging from the interview stage, examining knowledge of Mandalika culture and local tourism, to public speaking skills.

In the event, which was attended by more than 80 participants from all regions and cities in NTB, they managed to impress with broad insights and strong personalities, as well as a strong commitment in promoting the natural and cultural beauty of Mandalika.

“This is a great achievement for us and Unram. We want to use this opportunity to further introduce Mandalika’s tourism potential, as well as play an active role in the preservation of local culture,” said Baiq Uswatun Hasanah.

During the competition, participants were required to have a depth of knowledge about tourism, culture, and leadership. Not only that, this event also prioritizes participants who can contribute to a sustainable culture-based tourism development program.

The Rector of Unram, Prof. Ir. Bambang Hari Kusumo, M.Agr., St., Ph.D., also expressed his pride in the achievements of these three Unram students “Our three students who won this competition not only brought the good name of Unram, but also showed that the quality of education on our campus is able to produce individuals who are ready to contribute in various fields, including tourism and culture. This is proof that we fully support the development of students’ interests and talents outside the academic field,” said Prof. Bambang.

As winners, these three students are entitled to receive awards as well as the opportunity to participate in Mandalika tourism promotion activities. They will be involved in various projects aimed at increasing tourist visits to NTB and elevating local wisdom to the national and international arena.

This success is expected not only to be a pride for Unram, but also to have a positive impact on the development of the NTB tourism sector, especially Mandalika, which is increasingly recognized as one of the leading tourist destinations in Indonesia.
