Unram and Polish Embassy Initiate Potential Collaboration for Excellent Education
Mataram, Universitas Mataram – The Rector of Universitas Mataram (Unram) and representatives of the Polish Embassy in Jakarta discussed the potential for collaboration between Unram and Polish higher education institutions. The discussion was held in the Rector’s Conference Room on Thursday (19/10).
Prof. Ir. Bambang Hari Kusumo, M.Agr.St., Ph.D., as the Rector of Unram, hopes that this discussion can lead to more opportunities in the future and an agreement to sign a memorandum of understanding immediately. Representatives of the Polish Embassy welcomed Karolina Lonescu as Secretary III of the Political and Economic Section.
Karolina also described several things in the discussion, such as Poland’s higher education system and several scholarship programs that can be joined.
“In Poland, there is NAWA (National Agency for Academic Exchange), which can be applied by students, lecturers, and university staff. NAWA has three scholarship programs: Stefan Banach Scholarship, Polish Lecturers Program, and NAWA Summer Courses,” Karolina explained.
The Rector of Unram, on the occasion, also expressed his hope to Karolina to work together in strengthening collaboration between Indonesia and Poland, specifically in the field of education.
“This cooperation is an important step in strengthening the quality of education both later in Unram and universities in Poland. This collaboration can provide great opportunities for exchanging knowledge, culture, and even innovations at the international level,” said the Rector of Unram.
Prof. Bambang also added that improving human resources, especially in education, is a shared task and responsibility, so this discussion is expected to open doors to access more diverse academic experiences and enrich the value of education.
