Unram and UAJY Collaboration in General Lecture on Architecture Discusses Lombok Architecture, Buildings Physics, and Digital Architecture

Mataram, University of Mataram – The Architecture Study Program of the Faculty of Engineering, University of Mataram (FT Unram) collaborated with the Department of Architecture, Atma Jaya Yogyakarta University (UAJY) to hold a public lecture on Tuesday, September 3, 2024. This activity took place in the Prof. Morisco Room, A Building 3rd Floor FT Unram, which presents three speakers from both universities.

The material in this public lecture was delivered by Dr. Ir. Rini S. Saptaningtyas, ST., M.Sc., IPM., ASEAN Eng. As the Coordinator of Unram Architecture Study Program, presented material about Lombok Architecture, which reviewed the physical character and uniqueness of traditional Lombok architecture in Sade Village.

Furthermore, Nimas Sekarlangit, ST, MT, Lecturer of UAJY Department of Architecture discussed Building Physics, focusing on the influence of macro and micro climate on architectural design.

Maria Vika Wirastri, S. Ars., MUrbMgt & Plan., Lecturer of Department of Architecture UAJY delivered material on Digital Architecture, which explained the utilization of Virtual Reality media as a presentation tool in the field of architecture.

The public lecture was divided into three main sessions that included in-depth explanations related to Lombok architecture, scientific aspects in building design, and the application of digital technology in the world of architecture. The discussion was interactive, with participants consisting of lecturers and students from both universities.

The event ended with an exchange of plaques between the two institutions as a symbol of cooperation, followed by a group photo session. This public lecture is an important momentum to strengthen the academic relationship between Unram and UAJY and provide new insights for the participants.
