Unram and UPN “Veteran” Jakarta Cooperate to Improve the Tri Dharma of Higher Education
Mataram, Universitas Mataram – Universitas Mataram (Unram) established cooperation in improving the Tri Dharma of Higher Education with the National Development University “Veteran” Jakarta (UPNVJ) on Monday (11/13) at the UPNVJ Rector’s Meeting Room.
The Tri Dharma of Higher Education is considered the foundation for higher education institutions to give maximum contribution to national development and society. This concept emphasizes the importance of integrating education, research, and community service in order to make the institution a holistic center of learning and innovation that can fulfill the needs and demands of the times.
In order to actualize the Tri Dharma implementation, the Rector of Unram accompanied by the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs visited UPNVJ and officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen cooperation in the fields of education, research, and community service, as well as other necessary collaborations.
The signing of this MoU is a strategic step to expand collaboration between the two higher education institutions. With this memorandum of understanding, UPNVJ and Unram are committed to supporting each other and advancing higher education standards, improving the quality of research, and taking part in community service.
UPNVJ Rector, Dr. Anter Venus MA, Comm, explained, “We are very pleased to be able to establish a close partnership with Unram. This cooperation will bring great benefits to students, staff, and lecturers of both universities, enabling the exchange of valuable knowledge and experience. We will always be ready to follow up the signing of this MoU in order to actualize real cooperation between UPNVJ and Unram,” said the Rector of UPNVJ.
The MoU covers various areas of cooperation, including the exchange of students, lecturers, and researchers. In addition, it does not rule out the possibility for the two universities to work together in organizing seminars, conferences, and other academic activities. This cooperation is expected to create a more diverse and dynamic academic environment.
The Rector of Unram, Prof. Ir. Bambang Hari Kusumo, M.Agr.St., Ph.D., added, “We believe that through this cooperation, we can achieve higher achievements in research and scientific development. We are currently striving to enter the World Class University and optimizing cooperation within the country in my opinion is an important step to improve our reputation, both universities, at the national and international levels.”
With the signing of this MoU, UPNVJ and Unram confirmed their commitment to improve the quality of higher education and contribution to the world of research, as well as nation development. Both universities are optimistic that this cooperation will have a significant positive impact on the development of science and education.
