Unram Graduation of 1,947 People, Rector: Unram Graduated Must Become Agents of Change
Mataram, Universitas Mataram – Universitas Mataram (Unram) graduated 1,947 graduates/graduates for the September 2022 period at the M. Yusuf Abu Bakar Auditorium, Unram on Wednesday – Thursday (28 – 29/9). The graduates consisted of 1 Doctor (S-3), 159 Masters (S-2), 1,511 Bachelors (S-1), 237 Associate Experts (D-3), and 39 Professions.
Of the 1,511 undergraduates, as many as 258 people came from the Faculty of Economics and Business, 253 people from the Faculty of Agriculture, 77 people from the Faculty of Animal Husbandry, 154 people from the Faculty of Law, 334 people from the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, 129 people from the Faculty of Engineering, 128 people from the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, 37 people from the Faculty of Medicine, 51 people from the Faculty of Food Technology and Agro-industry, and 90 people from the Study Program under the Rector.
It was recorded that 8.49% of graduates /graduates of the Undergraduate Program obtained the Cumlaude predicate. 77.58% obtained a very satisfactory predicate, 11.28% obtained a satisfactory predicate, and 2.65% received a satisfactory predicate. Meanwhile, of the 159 graduates/graduates of the Master Program, 28.13% obtained the Cumlaude predicate, 65.63% obtained the very satisfactory predicate, 6.25% obtained the satisfactory predicate, and 1 Doctoral Program graduate obtained the Cumlaude predicate.
Rector of Unram, Prof. Ir. Bambang Hari Kusumo, M.Agr.St., Ph.D. in the opening speech of the graduation procession at the Auditorium of M. Yusuf Abu Bakar, Unram expressed his pride and appreciation for the hard work of the graduates to achieve graduation degrees at Unram universities.
“Congratulations to the graduates/graduates, for successfully completing their studies at Unram. The hard work you did today has paid off. To the parents of the graduates/ graduates, I congratulate you on the success of your sons/daughters,” said Prof. Bambang.
It was conveyed that amid during in the Covid-19 pandemic situation, the learning process has undergone modernization through the use of the latest information and communication technology. Therefore, the Rector of Unram hopes that this condition will spur the growth of intelligence with technological literacy and other new literacy to increase the skills needed in the future.
“In this era, Unram graduates must continue to grow into reliable learners who are competent and act smartly, agilely and adaptively to seize opportunities and are ready to face future challenges that continue to increase along with the progress of science and technology,” said the Professor of the Faculty of Agriculture, Unram.
Ending his speech, Rector Unram quoted the words of a writer and business expert from the United States, Thomas J. Stanley, Ph.D., “a person’s success is not determined by a GPA alone or a top alma mater where one learns but is determined by the soft skills possessed, including honesty, discipline, having the ability to get along with others, the spirit of hard work, having a love for what is done, leadership, competitive personality, regular living and selling ideas or creativity.”
To the graduates of September 2022, the Rector of Unram advised them to maintain the good name of Unram’s alma mater, and they must become agents of national change by working hard, creatively and innovatively, and always upholding the values of honesty and discipline.
