Unram Holds Social Service at Nipah Community Health Center to Celebrate 62nd Anniversary
Mataram, University of Mataram – University of Mataram (Unram) held a social service at Nipah Community Health Center on Saturday (19/10) as part of the 62nd Anniversary celebration. This activity includes ultrasound health checks for pregnant women, mass circumcision, and counselling on stunting prevention delivered by dr. Ario Danianto, Sp.OG., Subsp.K.Fm.
In his speech, the representative of BEMKM FKIK Unram, Putra Ragad, expressed his hope that this social service activity could provide great benefits to the community.
“We hope this activity can have a positive impact, especially in helping to improve public health at the Nipah Community Health Center,” Putra said.
The Chairperson of the Social Service Committee, dr. Hadian Rahman, Sp.B., M.Ked.Klin, stated that this social service is a form of Unram’s concern for the community.
“This social service is our effort to bring the campus closer to the community while helping to improve their health through the health services we provide,” he said.
Furthermore, Vice Chairperson of the Unram Anniversary Committee, Dr. dr. Rifana Cholidah, M.Sc., explained that the Nipah Community Health Center was chosen as the location of the social service because of the high stunting rate in the area.
“We chose Nipah because the stunting rate here is still quite high, and through this activity we hope to provide education and health services that can help reduce the rate,” she said.
In addition to health services, the counselling session presented by dr. Ario Danianto, Sp.OG., Subsp.K.Fm., became one of the main agenda that was highly enthused by the participants. He gave an in-depth explanation about the importance of preventing stunting from an early age, especially for pregnant women and families with young children.
This activity received a warm welcome from the local community who enthusiastically participated in the various services provided. With the implementation of this social service, Unram once again showed its commitment in supporting public health, in line with the spirit of the 62nd Anniversary.
