Unram Initiates Cooperation with Memorial University of Newfoundland Canada

Mataram, University of Mataram – University of Mataram (Unram) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Memorial University of Newfoundland Canada, on Monday (5/27) in the Rector’s Conference Room.

This activity received a warm welcome from the Rector of Unram, Prof. Ir. Bambang Hari Kusumo, M.Agr.St., Ph.D. on that occasion, Prof. Bambang stated that the results of the signing of this MoU must be followed up. “We open opportunities for collaboration after we have signed the MoU and then we need to follow up on the MoU,” he said.

Meanwhile, Dr. Sonja Knutson from Memorial University of Newfoundland Canada, said Unram could collaborate in research activities. “The Canadian government has a global research award that supports research collaboration between Canada and selected partners,” she explained.

In addition, this collaboration can be carried out in various fields such as fisheries and marine, education, animal husbandry, and others. With the signing of this MoU, Unram is committed to opening cooperation with Memorial University of Newfoundland.

The parties present from Memorial University of Newfoundland were Dr. Sonja Knutson as Director of Internationalization Office Adjunct Professor and Dr. Andrew Kim as Graduate Office, which later they will become Adjunct Professor at Unram.
