Unram KKN PMD withdrawal in Bima City: Green and Blue Economy are the Main Highlights ‌

Mataram, University of Mataram – University of Mataram (Unram) officially withdrew students of the Real Work Lecture (KKN) Village Community Service Program (PMD) who had conducted community service in Bima City from July 2 – August 21, 2024. This withdrawal marks the end of community service activities that took place for 45 days in several villages in the region.

The Unram PMD KKN activity involved 8 groups with a total of 77 students from various faculties, who were placed in 8 different villages in Bima City. During this period, the students have conducted various community empowerment programs, ranging from skills training, health counseling, to the development of local Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (UMKM).

On this occasion, the Acting Mayor of Bima, Drs. H. Mukhtar M.H.; Plh.
Regional Secretary of Bima, Drs. Adisan; Expert Staff; Assistants; Heads of OPD; and Head of Village within Bima City. In addition, Prof. Dr. Ir. Buan Anshari, S.T., M.Sc.(Eng)., Ph.D. representing LPPM Unram; Prof. Dr. Ir. A. Farid Hemon, M.Sc; Dr. Didy Ika Supryadi, SE, MM; and all student members of the Unram PMD KKN group.

In his speech, Prof. Buan Anshari expressed his appreciation and gratitude to all students and the community for their cooperation during the KKN program.

“We are proud of the dedication and hard work of our students in implementing various programs that benefit the community in Bima City. Hopefully what has been done can have a sustainable positive impact,” he said.

Meanwhile, the Acting Mayor of Bima, Drs. Mayor of Bima, Drs. H. Mukhtar, M.H., also gave high appreciation to Unram and the KKN students.

“This activity has made a significant contribution to community development in our area. We hope this kind of cooperation continues in the future,” said Drs. Mukhtar.

Furthermore, he emphasized, “Go back to build Bima City with your respective expertise and maintain the good name of Bima City at the University of Mataram.”

During the implementation of KKN PMD, Unram students not only gain valuable experience in applying the knowledge learned in college, but also have the opportunity to understand more about the social and cultural conditions of the local community. This activity is expected to strengthen the bond between universities and the community and encourage sustainable development in the region.

The activity ended with the submission of a certificate of appreciation by the Field Supervisor to the local Head of Village for his participation as the head of the Unram 2024 KKN PMD partner area.

With the end of this KKN activity, the students will return to campus to continue their studies and compile a final report as part of their academic process. Unram is also committed to continuously improving the quality of KKN programs and establishing closer cooperation with various parties to support better community development.
