Unram Receives Benchmarking Visit from UPN Veteran Jakarta to Improve Public Relations and PPID Performance ‌

Mataram, University of Mataram – University of Mataram (Unram) received a benchmarking visit from UPN Veteran Jakarta on Thursday, September 26, 2024 in the Main Session Room, Rectorate of Unram. This visit aims to improve the performance of public relations work programs of State Universities (PTN) and the management of Information and Documentation Management Officers (PPID).

The UPN Veteran Jakarta delegation consisting of the public relations team, PPID, and Integrated Service Unit (ULT), was warmly welcomed by the Vice Rector for Planning, Cooperation, and Information Systems of Unram, Prof. Akmaluddin, S.T., M.Sc.(Eng.), Ph.D..

In his speech, Prof. Akmaluddin emphasized the importance of collaboration between state universities in sharing knowledge and best practices, especially in the field of public relations and public information.

The Coordinator of Planning and Cooperation of UPN Veteran Jakarta, Hugeng Budianto, S.E., said that the purpose of his visit was to learn good practices in public relations and PPID management, so that management at UPN Veteran Jakarta could be improved.

“We want to learn the good practices that Unram has done regarding public relations and PPID management. We believe Unram is the right choice because we see the governance between public relations and PPID at Unram is excellent,” he said.

Hugeng Budianto hopes that through this benchmarking activity, UPN Veteran Jakarta can improve its ability to provide better and more effective information, as well as optimally manage PPID and ULT.

The discussion session was interactive, with Dr. Khairul Umam, S.H., M.H., as Head of Unram Public Relations, explaining more about the management of public relations and PPID at Unram. He shared various initiatives that have been undertaken, including the use of information technology in disseminating information and strengthening communication. Dr. Khairul Umam also expressed Unram’s commitment to continue to innovate in public relations practices and public information management.

This visit is expected to open up opportunities for further cooperation between Unram and UPN Veteran Jakarta, and encourage the exchange of knowledge that is beneficial to both institutions.
