Mataram, University of Mataram – University of Mataram (Unram) received a comparative study visit from a group of State Senior High School 1 Malang in the framework of implementing the Even P-5 Mid-Semester Activity Program (KTS) entitled “ Explore the Country”, Tuesday (29/4), in the Rector’s Conference Room, Unram Rectorate.

This activity was attended by six XI grade students, one accompanying teacher, and five State Senior High School 1 Malang staff. The group was welcomed by Unram’s Head of Academic and Student Affairs Bureau, Dwi Suswanto, S.Kom., M.M., who also opened the event with a presentation of Unram’s profile.

In his speech, Dwi Suswanto explained the history of Unram’s establishment, academic achievements, campus facilities, and student interest and talent development programs. He also highlighted the existence of the Unram Task Force for the Prevention and Handling of Sexual Violence (PPKS) as part of the campus commitment in creating a safe and comfortable academic environment.

“The PPKS Task Force consists of Unram students, lecturers, and academic staff. They are tasked with monitoring every report of sexual violence that occurs on campus. We really appreciate the courage of the victims who speak out, and hope that the entire academic community will not hesitate to report acts of violence through the official channels available,” Dwi said when answering a question from one of the students regarding the handling of sexual violence cases on campus.

Hopefully, this visit can provide new insights for students in designing their educational future, especially in choosing a university that suits their interests and goals.
