Unram Rector Provides Educational Support for Underprivileged Students

Mataram, University of Mataram — The Rector of the University of Mataram (Unram), Prof. Dr. Sukardi, M.Pd., met with three students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds in a gathering held at the Unram Rectorate on Wednesday, June 17, 2026. The meeting reflects Unram’s commitment to ensuring equal access to higher education for all students.

The three students are Sri Afrilyani, a Diploma (D3) student in Animal Husbandry Agribusiness; Nurmaila Annajiha, a Bachelor’s (S1) student in Chemistry; and Anisa Putri, a Diploma (D3) student in Animal Husbandry Agribusiness.

During the meeting, the Rector emphasized that the university continues to provide support for students facing financial difficulties so they can successfully complete their studies. This support is delivered through various policies, ranging from tuition fee reductions to full tuition waivers for students in genuine need.

“Education is the right of every child of the nation. Therefore, Unram is committed to being present and assisting students who face economic challenges so they can continue their education and achieve their aspirations,” said Prof. Sukardi.

Through these policies, Unram hopes that no student will be prevented from pursuing higher education due to financial constraints. The university continues to strive toward providing inclusive and equitable education for all students.
