Mataram, University of Mataram – University of Mataram (Unram) celebrates its 61st Anniversary with 5K and 10K running competitions, gymnastics, bazaars, door prizes, announcement and distribution of prizes for competitions, and entertainment. The summit event as well as the closing of the Unram Anniversary series was held on Saturday (18/11) at the Unram Rectorate field.

The event was opened to the general public, ranging from students, lecturers, to the wider community who wanted to celebrate Unram’s 61st Anniversary. The 5K and 10K race participants reached more than 700 registrants spread throughout West Nusa Tenggara (NTB).

Rector of Unram, Prof. Ir. Bambang Hari Kusumo, M.Agr.St., Ph.D. officially closed the series of Unram’s 61st Anniversary. He truly appreciated the committee, sponsors, and all related parties who supported the 61st Anniversary of Unram.

Previously, Unram had opened its 61st Anniversary series on September 22, 2023. With the implementation of the entire series of Unram’s Anniversary with the theme “Collaboration of Higher Education and Industry in Developing Superior Resources Towards Internationalization of Mataram University”, Prof. Bambang hopes that Unram can provide benefits in the midst of society.

“Hopefully this will be Unram’s contribution, not only to the community, but also to the wider community. You can imagine, not only seminars that bring in experts, such as the Chairman of the Ombudsman, Chairman of KY, and various groups of scientists, not only that. But we also enliven it with various kinds of competitions, including the 5K and 10K running competitions, today is the first race at the University of Mataram,” he said.

Through this Anniversary, it is hoped that it can strengthen the unity and integrity of the entire community and society so that friendship can be built that remains strong and maintained to build Unram, and for the glory of Unram in the future and the following times.

“Let us enjoy and be grateful for the togetherness of the 61st anniversary of the University of Mataram. Please support all parties, not only the academic community, but also the community. We all need to work together so that Unram becomes a university that is advanced and victorious in the future, and contributes to the nation,” concluded the 10th Rector of Unram.
