Mataram, University of Mataram – University of Mataram (Unram) received a visit from a student delegation of the School of Management and Marketing, Curtin University, Australia on Friday, November 29, 2024 at the Senate Conference Room, Unram Rectorate. This visit took place for 4 days from November 29 to December 2, 2024.

The arrival of the Curtin University group was warmly welcomed by the Head of OIA Unram, Prof. Ir. Dahlanuddin, M.Rur.Sc., Ph.D., and Vice Dean I of Academic Affairs FEB Unram, Diswandi, SE, M.Sc., Ph.D. In his remarks, Prof. Dahlan expressed great hope that this visit could be a good first step to strengthen the cooperative relationship between the two parties. By sharing knowledge and experiences, it is hoped that stronger synergies will be established and open up opportunities for collaborative projects in the future.

“The visit of the Curtin University delegation means a lot to us. Students from both universities now have the opportunity to experience a unique learning experience, cultural exchange, and broaden their horizons, especially in the implementation of SDGs in Australia that can be applied in Indonesia, especially in NTB,” he said.

Meanwhile, the Curtin University delegation led by Prof. Kantha Dayaram, Discipline of People, Culture and Organization at Curtin University, Australia, also expressed their appreciation for the warm welcome given by Unram.

“We feel deeply welcomed by the warm academic environment of the University of Mataram. Thank you for this valuable opportunity. We are committed to maximizing this time by actively participating in various activities, increasing knowledge about the implementation of SDGs in the NTB region, building close relationships, and enriching cultural exchanges,” said Prof. Kantha.

During this visit, the Curtin University delegation will conduct various activities according to the planned International Student Mobility series such as visiting several tourist destinations and government centers to gain a deeper understanding of the implementation of SDGs in NTB in terms of economic, cultural, social, and environmental sustainability.

Curtin University’s visit to Unram aims to strengthen academic relations and collaboration between the two universities with sustainable development implementation programs through SDGs for Indonesia and Australia.
