Unram’s Strategic Steps to Improve IKU and Global Reputation through Monev of National Competitive Research 2024
Mataram, University of Mataram – The Research and Community Service Institute of the University of Mataram (LPPM Unram) held Monitoring and Evaluation (Monev) activities for National Competitive Research in 2024 as an effort to support the achievement of Main Performance Indicators (IKU) and improve the university’s reputation at the national and global levels. This activity was held in the Main Conference Room of LPPM Unram on October 17, 2024 and was attended by researchers and academics who received the National Competitive funding scheme.
In this activity attended by Prof. Dr. Ir. Sukartono, M.Agr. as Head of LPPM Unram accompanied by secretary Prof. Dr. Ir. I Gusti Putu Muliarta Aryana, M.P., Head of Research Center, Prof. Ir. Buan Anshari, ST.M.Sc.(Eng).,Ph.D. and Head of Service Center, Dr. Ni Wayan Sri Suliartini, S.P., M.P.
Prof. Dr. Ir. Sukartono, M.Agr. as the Head of LPPM Unram, in his speech emphasized the importance of research and service as one of the main pillars in supporting Unram’s vision of excellence and being globally competitive. “Through quality research, we can not only contribute to the development of science, but also improve the university’s reputation in the global arena,” he said.
This Monev activity aims to evaluate various programs and research output targets that have been implemented by lecturers and researchers at Unram, as well as ensuring that research results can be implemented to support regional and national development. In addition, this monev also aims to identify the potential and obstacles faced in the implementation of research.
Prof. Dr. Ir. I Gusti Putu Muliarta Aryana, M.P. as Secretary and Evaluator, explained that the evaluation results will be used to improve future research strategies. “We hope that with this monev, we can find solutions to existing challenges and maximize the potential of research at Unram,” said Prof. Muliarta.
In this activity, a number of excellent researches that have been produced by Unram lecturers were also presented. Some of them focus on the development of environmentally friendly technology, public health, and sustainable agriculture. These studies are expected to have a positive impact on society and increase cooperation with various parties, both at the national and international levels.
In closing, the Head of LPPM Unram urged the entire academic community to continue to innovate and produce work through useful research. “We must strive to become a university that is not only recognized in Indonesia, but also contributes significantly to the development of society,” he concluded.
