Mataram, University of Mataram – The Implementation Unit of Merdeka Campus Learning and Key Performance Indicators of the University of Mataram (UP MBKM-IKU Unram) held a Tracer Study Workshop on Thursday (8/2) at Fave Hotel, Mataram.

The workshop was attended by a number of vice deans and sub coordinators of faculty student affairs, Head of UP MBKM-IKU and his staff, tracer study operators, and the Head of Unram Alumni, including the Rector of Unram, Prof. Ir. Bambang Hari Kusumo, M.Agr.St., Ph.D.

In his remarks, Prof. Bambang conveyed the results of Unram’s Main Performance Indicators (IKU) which have increased since 2021. Where in 2021 Unram received an IKU result of 20.7 and increased to 70.2 in 2022, while the IKU results for 2023 will come out this year. Therefore, the Rector of Unram targets that in the future Unram will get better IKU results than in previous years.

“We need to dissect all these IKU starting from IKU 1 to IKU 8. And we must be optimistic that the performance of all of you, our performance will determine the achievement of all these IKU,” said the Rector of Unram.

Regarding IKU 1 related to university graduates getting a decent job, the Rector of Unram emphasized the importance of getting accurate data in the Tracer Study.

“Our chances of increasing Unram’s IKU scores from the previous year are greater. However, there are obstacles that often occur in the implementation of Tracer Study, including approaches that must be optimized. So we must maximize the use of all our media, both websites and social media to collect data,” said the Professor of the Faculty of Agriculture.

Prof. Bambang also emphasized the importance of providing training to students so that they are better prepared to enter the world of work and can create jobs. He suggested that Unram’s Guidance Counseling and Career Development (BKPK) should be more proactive in providing job vacancy information through job fairs.

“IKU has a big impact on BOPTN (Operational Assistance for State Universities). If the IKU score decreases, the BOPTN will also decrease. This also includes accreditation, which is very crucial in showing the quality of Unram to the public so as to increase public interest in joining Unram,” explained the Rector of Unram.

Through this workshop, Prof. Bambang hopes that the input of tracer study data can be completed immediately and the obstacles faced in its implementation will get an effective solution. So that it can have a positive impact on increasing Unram’s IKU score.

The speakers in this tracer study workshop included the IKU 1 Coordinator, Lalu M. Furkan; Drs. Alamsyah AB; apt. Yoga Dwi Saputra. Then, the discussion of IKU 6 related to study program cooperation was guided by Syarifudin Zuhdi and Satria from the Unram Cooperation section.
